As more companies decide to bring people back to the office, it is clear to many front-line workers that these measures are not needed, and are greatly reducing worker satisfaction and work/life balance. More concerning, this seems to be the latest fad with CEOs as they seem to be copying each other. Many companies seemingly want to get workers to leave.
This website is to give workers a more concentrated voice on this topic. From recapping latest updates from companies, to driving awareness to the harm that RTO policies create, not just workers but also to the long-term success of the company in question (*cough* severely reduces the talent pool *cough*).
It is entirely ironic that corporations tout their support for the environment, while at the same time mandating workers drive to the office multiple days per week. In many cases, offices are located in urban areas and this puts significant stress on public transportation. In other cases, offices are located in a position where no public transportation is viable, discriminating against workers who can not drive daily.
Companies also love to tell you how much they respect DEI, however when they force rigid RTO policies on their employees, this is discriminating against introverts and neuro-divergent employees.
For this and many more reasons, RTO News is here to recap the harm these polices are creating.
